Big Brother legends accidentally unleashed the Time Laser on the season 25 house. Find out what it is, how it will affect the Big Brother 25 game.

Big Brother 25 is off to a thrilling start as the Time Laser twist has taken over the house, and unleashed some exciting surprises on the houseguests. The milestone season features 16 new houseguests competing for the $750,000 grand prize. However, host Julie Chen Moonves revealed that this doesn't mean that there can't be more houseguests. Hopes are high that this 25th anniversary season will not only have incredible gameplay from its newest houseguests, but nostalgic trips down memory lane with past contestants and competitions.

Before Big Brother season 25 began, viewers were treated to a video in which Big Brother icons Danielle Reyes, Britney Haynes, and Frankie Grande broke into the Big Brother house with the Time Laser in order to go back in time and change the outcomes of their seasons. However, something went horribly wrong, and they accidentally unleashed a new twist on the house. During the premiere, Julie Chen informed the houseguests about the twist, explaining how it will affect the game.

On the Big Brother 25 premiere, Julie revealed that Danielle, Britney, and Frankie opened the Big Brother multiverse with the Time Laser. This means that not only have they changed the look of the house, but they've altered the game, creating the most unpredictable Big Brother season ever. Four universes have taken over the game: the BB Comic-verse, the Humili-verse, the Scary-verse, and the Scramble-verse. At any time during the season, these multiverses can twist up the game. Each of the universes has a corresponding area of the house in which the decor matches the theme. In the Humili-verse, the beds include a hot dog and a wedge of cheese.

Usually on Big Brother premiere night, the houseguests compete to win the first Head of Household (HOH) competition. However, because of the Scramble-verse, the houseguests competed in a nomination competition. The losers of each of the games were nominated for eviction, and could be the first houseguest evicted from Big Brother 25. For the first time ever, the nominees were named before the HOH was crowned. Houseguests Jared Fields, Kirsten Elwin, Felicia Cannon, and Cory Wurtenberger were nominated. During his game, Cory was swept away to the Nether Region by a monster's hand, and will be absent from the competition for an undisclosed amount of time.

When the Big Brother 25 houseguests entered the house after their competitions, they were greeted by the legendary four-time Survivor player Cirie Fields, who also won The Traitors season 1 and an episode of Snake in the Grass. She's also houseguest Jared's mom. The Scramble-verse added her as the 17th houseguest. Cirie is the first Survivor contestant ever to play Big Brother.

The Big Brother 25 premiere lived up to its promise to expect the unexpected, changing the game in completely new ways. Cirie's addition as a houseguest was one of the biggest shockers in Big Brother history, and one of the most welcome. As Big Brother celebrates its incredible 25th anniversary milestone, the Time Laser twist is sure to keep the surprises coming.
